Bicycle safety is the most important issue and as more cyclists hit the streets, the safety on road is one thing the cyclists are looking forward to.
Keeping this is mind, I have mainly focussed on night riding, as due to lack of light on the streets, a lot of cyclists face this problem. I wanted to design something simple for the users so that it’s easily attachable and removable, also solving the problem.
The light contains a reflector inside along with LEDs, it also has a mechanism of a bell. The main purpose of combining a bell and a light together is that while riding at night, when the cyclist will ring the bell continuously, the light will behave like a dipper and will change the light from low beam to high beam and vice versa. The light will then help the cyclist to instruct the cars ahead to move forward or side to make way for them. Also , on the main roads, will all the sound of motorised vehicles , the fellow drivers will not be able to hear the bell ringing, so the light will be a convenient to direct others.
The target audience of the product will mainly be college students and also
cyclists who like riding bikes at night.
