I’ve wanted to do a simple set of portraits for some time. Eventually I set out to do a black and white series of just anyone I could get in front of my camera. Be it a friend, business partner, carpet layer or neighbor. I felt that black and white portraits on a black background could convey what I wanted to get across in a nice way. I shot these using a single strip light and a very simple setup. I essentially want to capture peoples personality as they come across to me in the way I’ve come to know these persons. As this is an ongoing project I’ll keep posting new pictures to it as I shoot them.
