Making Visible What's Invisible

XXXII Cartagena International Architecture Workshop / Coastal Resilience
MAPPING PHASE PRESENTATION
After an urban recognition of the city of Cartagena, and a social interaction with the inhabitants of the neighborhoods next to the Juan Angola Cannal. A mapping activity was conducted to identify design opportunities based on the relationships of people with themselves and with their surrounding ecosystem.
A Charrette (social mapping activity) was developed with the community of the neighborhoods Canapote, Crespito, 7 de Agosto and Crespo, to identify some opportunities or Insights as design departure points.
Finally, we identify some natural and social characteristics that are visible or invisible depending on the viewer (Activities, flora, fauna and pollution). Being this divided into three actors, inhabitants bordering the canal, habitats of nearby neighborhoods and visitors.
