Before the World was Big was created as part of a collaboration relating to family history, storytelling, and reconnection with childhood. The locket hopes to encapsulate the naive beauty of pillow forts and the childish wonder I felt when my sibling and I built them as children. Inside of the locket is a hidden world of bright colors and soft forms that becomes a comforting, womb-like space.
