Ginger Sushi Bar
Bucharest, Romania

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest had an empty glasshouse in their garden. Facing the outside pool, it was the perfect location to create a new f&b outlet. The ambition of our client was to turn this cold and empty glasshouse into a warm, chique and cozy sushi bar.

Every design starts with a story. When we dug up the history of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest and its location, we found the hotel is situated in one of the oldest streets of Bucharest: the Calea Victoriei. In the 1690’s the roads were not yet paved which resulted in bad, muddy infrastructure. That’s why Lord Brancoveanu ordered to have a road built with oak beams. The link between the rhythm of the wooden planks and the design of the room was born, the rest is history.
