The object of my thesis is Verholy Relax Park Spa Center located in Poltava Region (Ukraine). This is a modern two-storey building with a total area of 1,400 square meters. Only the ground floor was designed. The objective was to create a day spa featuring convenient and long-lasting interior design. I chose minimalism, with basic geometric shapes as the core of the design project. The major colors are white, gray and natural color of light wood. Raw industrial materials such as concrete, plywood and aluminum contrasted to elegant textures (glossy screed floors, soft furniture upholstery, and mirrors) create harmony. To achieve architectural integrity, the building was divided vertically into three functional segments. As a result of our work on the project, I have been able to develop a design that takes into account major day spa trends and requirements.
