Designing a Brand: "Kidsverse"
We had the opportunity to design a brand guide for the city of Rexburg. The city came to us and wants to open a kids indoor recreation center, but for kids from the ages of 1 to 8. Major amounts of research went into this project to better help the city see that we new about kids and how they react to certain colors, fonts, and designs. It was a fun chance for me to build a brand and explore world building with a brand. I explored everything from what the shirts would look like, graphic and illustration styles, photography, and even how they would go about posting events or other needs on social media. Here is my process and final results from my project.
This was my first render of the final logo. It looked great on the sign, however I put it on a plain piece of paper and there was far to many stars. I needed to cut down on everything just enough to be able to say the same story.
As seen at the top this was my final logo, with cutting down on the stars the message of the logo was still there, just more simplified and more powerful.
Fliers I designed for the City of Rexburg.
Envelops for the City of Rexburg and Kidsverse.
Apparel that fit in with the brand guide.
Conclusion
This was a great experience for me in trying to design an entire brand, being able to portray a message, and being able to being all the brand elements together. It was a bit challenging thinking of everything little thing that needed to be designed, but overall gained a lot of great skills for when approaching a similar task.
