The inspiration for this project came from these factory rejected door knobs, they were made in different and beautiful exotic woods such as PUI and Brazil, we could also find some knobs made of teak wood.
One of the boxes full of rejected door knobs
First Sketches of the lamp, where we had to think how to assemble the knobs with the main piece and the electric componets.

With a milling cutter, we removed some wood from the interior to make place for the lamp socket
Introducing, Byron Silva master of the lathe, he is the artisan responsible for making these pieces a reality
Turning the pieces was a real challenge, the main reason these pieces were rejected is because they were not well centered in the interior so they wont fit in the lock mechanism, that means that we had to find the perfect center of each one, before start turning the knobs
First test pieces
Finally we made it, they are finished and ready to light                                              PHOTOGRAPHY  BY: MARIO BARRERO
