Edinburgh Cycle - Branding + UX

Exercise yourself
Brief: A new system of shared-bikes is gonna be launched in Edinburgh. The initial project will deliver 500 cycles and 100 electric cycles up to the 2000 cycle that is believed the city can sustain.

Proposal: The new branding design needs to identify the service and be easy to find through different parts of the city. Also it is aimed to people of all ages and sex, but needs to attract people to do exercise instead of taking the bus or car therefore the fonts used give movement and freshness to the brand. The colour purple is chosen to follow a continuity with Edinburgh Airport theme, therefore giving a colour palette to the city, as many other cities have.

Patterns:

The initial scheme will start in the City Centre, including Waverly Station and University of Edinburgh sites.
This is an example of a "BikeStop" in the city centre of Edinburgh.

Individuals will be able to hire cycles either through an annual membership, on a daily basis, or for shorter periods. The single ride would be for half an hour long hire.
It could be booked through the official website or the app available for iOS and Android.
