Personal designs based around the 2018 World Cup. I spent the 2018 entirely abroad traveling across Europe (starting in St. Petersburg where I watched two matches). It was a challenge for me to design as much as I wanted to around the tournament while I was bouncing between new countries every few days. For the Group Stages I decided to create a series and style that was simplistic and highlighted the nation of each "hero" from their previous match. Bold countries, colors and small subjects to create the powerful negative space you see below.
