HERE'S WHERE I LIE – CONCERT POSTERS
ILLUSTRATION, GRAPHIC DESIGN
_
A series of possible concert posters made for a band that doesn't actually exist ( it was created for the sake of a design challenge). The design began with a pen drawing of intertwining flora. It was then scanned into the computer and turned into a PNG with a transparent background. After multiple hue manipulations were made, the illustration was rotated and flipped to create symmetrical design variations.
The general vibe was meant to create a feeling of strange, melodic, music. Likely in the vein of Florence and the Machine or Lana del Ray. The flowers of the poster were meant to evoke a funeral bouquet. The symmetry of the flowers are representative of the cycle of life and death.
