“Walk n Play” is an installation that runs along the hallway walls in the office spaces. As of now this installation includes four designs, of which three are infused with mood lines and one is an independent maze design that can be installed at leisure spots like cafeterias. The major motivation for this design has evolved from my vision of helping the employee involve himself in play without taking time off his desk. Play, in this design happens while the employee walks in the hallway of the office. Also the mood lines incorporated into the design help in reviving the moods of the employees.

The idea behind this design is to create a moment of communication between people along with play. In huge corporate set-ups, people don’t even take a moment to acknowledge others walking past them. Also, play usually happens by taking some time off the desk and that too outside the work premises.

Through my design I’d like to integrate play into the work environment, that happens simultaneously with work, as an employee can finish the maze at his walking pace, making it more fun. Also, the simplicity of the design makes it more compatible and scalable to any premises.
