SanDiego Comic Convention is a place and a time where professionals, geeks and passionates come together to celebrate and discover new ideas.
This year (2018) I was lucky enough to get badges for the main event on July 2018, which ignited my inner(and outer) geek and creativity.
The poster is a collective of all the 32 Characters designed.

PROCESS
At an airport terminal, I sketched a draft of what to become the poster above. However, It was intended to be a silly doodle background composed of pop culture related symbols.
Through the day, I'd grab the notebook and doodle random characters. I experimented with the idea of making the characters square-looking, and it turned out to be unique, cute and funny!
I love constraints, they make work easier, but as much as I love them, It was a bit challenging to design some of the characters to be squared, and some of them lost a key feature when designed that way.
With the help of online tools, the primary and secondary color palettes were set.
OK this is the crime scene where good and bad decisions were made and A LOT of heroes and villains were experimented on. I regret nothing :D
