The Month of the Ocean (MOO) is celebrated annually during the month of May, by virtue of Presidential Declaration No. 57 issued in 1999. The country has been celebrating the month-long activity for eighteen years. From “Tayo at ang Karagatan” (2017) to “Together for our reefs” (2018), this year's celebration aims to respond to the urgent need to increase awareness and understanding on coral reefs, and to further conserve and manage these valuable resources together with other associated ecosystems.

This is your chance to do something you're passionate about while you get to learn more about coral reefs and the marine ecosystem.
