"Little Big Book of Numbers" is the outcome of a project in order to design a book for children based on numbers. The purpose is to create a visual and verbal experience considering children imaginative and intellectual development.
At the very earliest of their learning, children make contact with the visual language which is chiefly important for the individual development. The knowledge and experimentation with visual language becomes the prior phase in the learning of spoken and written language. And this is why this book pays especial attention to that. In a simple, direct and intuitive way it shows the numbers from one to ten in a creative shape consisting in textures created with childhood elements as watercolours, crayon or colour pencils. The principle motivation for our work was to look for the top expressiveness to provide into this shapes so it will become a playful process which resulted in this little big book with 28 pages and 14x14 centimetres format.
