This was the final piece for my A-Level exam project. We had about a month to work from the extremely vague brief 'Combinations & Alliances' so in the end I ended up 'combining and allying' text and images.

I was pretty happy with my coffee watercolour piece with it's masses of white framing, though it was a tad rushed (we were only given 12 hours to finish the entire thing.) Anyway, it was a nice project in the end, getting to paint pictures of me and my brother (both of us are in the piece) and using ma langue préférée, le français!

Below I have included images of the framed final piece as well as some of my experimentational prep work.
Below, a few different experiments with combining colour and black and white, and testing out different typography ideas with different mediums and application methods...
And here is one piece that really warms my heart, it shows my (at the time) 14 year old brother at different stages in Childhood, and then him as a 14 year old, strolling away from it all.
