I recently collaborated on the development of the ATOM 3D printer by AltDesign in Taipei, Taiwan. The delta 3D printer was recently succesfully crowdfunded and is now in production.

I have been interested in rapid prototyping my ideas for a while, and I decided to build a low cost 3D printer in 2011 based on the reprap project. Here is a preview of the build process.

Reprap is a low cost open source rapid prototyping system that is capable of producing its own parts and can therefore be replicated easily.
