Leef Smith, owner and operator of "Mission: Comics and Art," had just launched his new business venture, and needed a logo to anchor the store identity and present to potential customers at an industry event held in San Francisco. Mission: Comic and Art (http://www.missioncomicsandart.com/),  sells comic books, "graphic novels" and specialty illustrated books. The retail space also features a large and curated fine art gallery, with nationally known artists. The identity features the two alternate meanings of the word "Mission," as the gallery is located in the historic and trendy Mission District of San Francisco, as well as the "adventure" content of the comics available for sale.
