Electronic Product Re-Design: Headphones

The final assignment in my SolidWorks class (spring 2012) was to disassemble an electronic object, measure and recreate each part of the internal structure in SolidWorks, and then re-design the external housing of the object. I took apart a pair of broken Samsung headphones, and re-designed the shell in clear acrylic to showcase the usually hidden, intricate electronic structure inside. Playfully challenging “form follows function” methodology, the design fuses the eccentricity of high fashion with the functionality of product design.
