 "Cretan Hands" was created as a company of handmade pastry products, which brings traditional Cretan cuisine to our homes, using traditional grandmother recipes of Crete. The name "Cretan Hands" was created to emphasize that the products are handmade. The "Cretan Hands" logo consists of a hand and a rolling pin, with a minimal, linear character which is kept by the whole company. The goal is through "Cretan Hands" and its products to connect the traditional with a more modern tone, without losing its character.

The “Cretan Hands” product line, intended for the Greek market, uses the distinctive title "Αγαπητερά". For the need to logotype the particular nomenclature, the font "Αγαπητερά" was designed. The inspirational point of reference for the design of the glyphs is the dough, made into strips. The Greek pedestrian characters and capital «A» were designed. Especially for the "κ" and "η" characters were designed and two alternative glyphs with a different beardline. It is a handwriting type font that is also suitable for using current text.

For the creation of the "Αγαπητερά" series, I decided to design modern patterns based on the embroidery depicted on the traditional aprons of the dancers of Crete. In this way the products keep their traditional character with a more modern attraction.

The line of Cretan Hands "Αγαπητερά Cretan handmade rusks" was designed based on the goddess goddesses - a statuette found in excavations in the Minoan archaeological sites that shows a woman who has been sheltered from snakes. The goddess of snakes, as it is called differently, is exhibited today at the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion in Crete.

With a view to seeing and getting acquainted with the "Αγαπητερά" product line, I designed a sixteen-page blooklet which will be distributed free of charge to supermarkets. In this way, the consumer will have the opportunity to get in touch with the company and try the recipes contained in the booklet by purchasing the products.

Finally, I designed the company's website in order to enable the consumer to get acquainted with the craft and the products produced, but also to order them easily and quickly.
