I'm an huge admirer of the work of Kurt Schwitters, James Rosenquist, Robert Rauschenberg, Mel Ramos and other artists who combine disparate elements to create evocative images. Unfortunately, trying to follow in their footsteps usually leads to the accumulation of "potential collage material." Lots and lots of it...

One day, I decided to purge a couple of boxes stacked of discarded science books, old Playboy’s, moth eaten encyclopedia tomes, nature magazines, vintage photos, pages cut-out from magazine and folders packed with years of compulsively purchased printed ephemera. The intended purge had two results:

One were these posters. The other result is that nothing got thrown out at all, because
I realized it was all pretty good "potential collage material" and that I may want to come back to it at a later point...
