Problem:
In recent years, many national and international institutions have raised the alarm for increasing social problems among young people associated with crime, drugs, alcohol, and social discrimination in Egypt. The care of addicted peoples is woefully inadequate in Egypt and there are no centers to treat all kinds of addiction (Alcohol, drug, gaming, smartphone, eating... etc.).
The rate of drug addiction in Egypt is twice the global rates, as the percentage has reached 10% (27.5% female, and 72.5% male). And nearly 20% of the Egyptian population uses some form of tobacco product. Of this percentage, about 16% smoke cigarettes, 3.3% smoke shisha and 2.6% use smokeless. Also, the rate of internet addiction has reached 13%. It was significantly higher among who use internet for more hours daily, more frequently, and who use it for socialization and entertainment purposes.
Aims:
The project aims to set the society free from the bondage of addiction. It is to create a community free of social crimes, psychological and physical disorders, waste of money and all insecurities caused by addiction. It targets our youths, gives them a helping hand and lets them rekindle their self-appreciation and self-motivation. It aims to make them re-explore themselves and invest their powers more efficiently.
It creates an isolated and special society for addicts' people so that they don't feel excluded by the outside community. It is needed for psycho-social treatment, counseling, rehabilitation, psycho-social support and family assistance, training courses, information and assistance for resolving emergency situations.
Concept:
It is not enough to "just say no". Instead, you can protect and heal yourself from addiction by saying “yes” to other things. Cultivate diverse interests that provide meaning to your life.
Exercises give a natural boots of the feel-good chemicals affect the pleasure/reward system in the brain interacting with neurotransmitters including: Endorphins, Dopamine and serotonin. So, the project helps the addicted people to have awareness of this and also they will feel that they control their neuronal cells in the brain from the inspirational pattern of nervous cells.
