WOULD YOU FEED HYENAS FROM YOUR MOUTH?

In Harar, Ethiopia, you can. The 'man of hyenas' feeds them every night, at sunset, to keep alive the traditional friendship between men and hyenas. The city gates are also opened at night for these incredible animals to roam the streets, seeking scraps of meat to drag to the nearby cave. The hyenas help to clean up the city which men mess during the day time. Without them the city will be much dirtier. Moreover, they have never attacked the people of Harar after they started feeding them.
