English version - Surfaces are present in every day life in a variety of ways and have the power to modify an object, giving it a new perception and appearance. The inspiration for this project came from a particularly scenario/activity of the region of Florianópolis, the artesian fishing. The bag uses its surface to symbolise this traditional activity that belongs to the local, using a fishing net as a motif to compose the pattern. This project was based through a study of the practical, aesthetic and symbolic functions of the industrial products.
In Florianópolis region is still very common to find local fishermen that live and provide to their families through this occupation. Every year, there is a period called "safra da tainha" - literally translating it means "the mullet's catch" - where between the months of May and June, the fishermen are allowed to catch this famous fish of the region. This period is very await and celebrated by the locals and the fishermen every year - as the mullets can only be caught this time by law, to preserve the specie. The pattern was inspired in a picture that a uni classmate of mine (Betina Schimitt) took during one of these days of "safra da tainha", at Campeche's beach, in Florianópolis.
The picture showing the net with the fish was my inspiration to symbolise this local cultural heritage, transforming it in a surface pattern. The name "Camboa" was chosen because of my own affective relation with a place with the same name, a suburb located in Governador Celso Ramos - a city that belongs to Florianópolis region, with lots of beaches, local fishermen and "safra da tainha" as well. Camboa was where I lived most of the happy moments of my childhood together with my parents, in our beach house. Also, my father always had fishing as one of his favourite's hobbies and, because of that, I grew up with this unconscious relationship (archetype relationship) with this activity and everything that is related with it during my whole life.
| This bag was my final graduation project at IFSC (2015). It was mandatory that it had to be made in partnership with an existing company/brand. This agreement were made with Moorea Swimwear.

Portuguese version - Os cenários da região de Florianópolis foram a inspiração para a criação desse projeto. Camboa é uma bolsa de praia que utiliza sua superfície para simbolizar uma atividade tradicional que pertence ao local: a pescaria artesanal. Nesse sentido, a rede de pesca foi o motivo escolhido para compor o padrão estampado, o que modifica a aparência da bolsa e dá uma nova percepção simbólica à esse produto através de sua estética.
A pesca é uma atividade econômica e cultural no litoral da região de Florianópolis (Santa Catarina), onde ainda existem muitos pescadores locais que vivem e sustentam suas famílias desse trabalho. A chamada "safra da tainha", período entre maio/junho que os pescadores artesanais são liberados para atirar suas redes ao mar e pescar esse peixe típico da região, é uma época muito esperada e comemorada tanto por pescadores quanto por moradores todos os anos. Essa estampa se baseou em uma fotografia tirada pela colega de curso Betina Schimitt durante um desses dias de safra, na Praia do Campeche, Em Florianópolis.
A foto da rede com o peixe foi a inspiração para simbolizar tamanha herança cultural que aqui existe, através do desenho de uma superfície. O nome "Camboa" foi escolhido por causa da relação afetiva que possuo com esse lugar, um bairro no município de Governador Celso Ramos, onde passei boa parte de uma infância feliz junto à meus pais, na nossa casa de praia. Meu pai sempre teve a pesca como um de seus hobbies e por isso também possuo uma relação por arquétipo (inconsciente) com essa atividade e tudo que está relacionado à ela desce criança.
| Esta bolsa foi meu projeto final de graduação no IFSC (2015). Era mandatório que o TCC fosse em parceria com alguma empresa/marca, então, na época, esse acordo foi feito com a Moorea Swimwear.
