I got asked back for this years Student Mentor Awards as not only a guest, but also to design and make the awards again. This time round however, taking what I learnt from doing it the year before, I decided to hire some help. The amazing people who I decided to get involved were actually my Mentee's whilst I was at University, so it was nice to finally work on something together. 

So Initially we came up with some concepts in CAD: 

From these visuals we then decided to go with a less intensive process, as we realised these designs would in fact add a lot of time onto the milling process. We actually came back round to my design last year, as the shape was iconic to Falmouth's brand. So we started thinking of ways to change it/flip it on its head!

The final outcome was actually down to the guys who I got involved: Sib, Drew & John, all of which had a part to play in why the award looks the way it does today. 

Thank you all for getting involved and thank you once again Falmouth University for getting me involved as an Alumni, was another great experience and look forward to seeing who's up to the task next year!
