This personal project is about the baobab tree - also known as the monkey bread tree.
Four children from Ghana tell each other how the gods have created the baobab. Every child has its own version of the story. So the kids begin to argue. Only the old and wise women of the village knows the true story.
The last illustration was made with hand-carved stamps. The symbols are called Adinkra. Every symbol has its own meaning. Often clothes are decorated with Adinkras. These clothes are worn on special occasions.
