Lucas Zanotto led a masterclass over one week, in the ambit of a post-graduation in Motion Design. He asked us to choose a Mordillo comic and adapt that to a short animation. We just had one rule, use the same techniques as Lucas (mixed media). Mordillo comic strip
 
We choose to make all the scenario (buildings, cityscape, sky, flames) in paperboard and then, animate the characters digitally. As Lucas' work this is not a stop-motion animation. We filmed the scenario in one take and then assembled it with the characters on the computer.
