A Bacterial Index, categorized morphologically: coccus (spherical), bacillus (rod shaped) and Spiral ("s" shaped).
Since the first thing that comes to mind when we think of bacteria is "cleanliness״, I tried to express sterility in my book with use of minimalistic colors and compositions, making the small details the most significant ones.
I decided the book will have a bare spine, so it only has black sewing. This way the reader can get a clue about the bacterial language that’s inside.
Designing the book was an expression of freedom for me, as although bacteria is everywhere, we can only see it under a microscope while the truth is that it lives all around us.
Thanks to the freedom of imagination, an abstract, experimental and fascinating images were made.
One of my main goals was to simplify the complexed content to everyone by creating an aesthetic design.
