We are living in a fast-paced world with increasing health complications associating with poor diet choices and related behaviours. People who often eat too quickly can experience overeating and food distress such as bloating. Regular consumption of bought meals with low nutrition outside of the home environment may also cause negative diet habits. These may have resulted to a loss of respect and appreciation for food. In today’s digitalised world, the “virtual” and the “actual” spaces are converging and becoming intertwined. Hence, the once enriched dining experience and associated social interactions are diminishing in value as there are now many competing distractions and alternative activity options.
