Yen-Ting Lin's profile

Precision is a major characteristic of mortising the joinery. I enlarged the delicate hand-made details on the upper and bottom cover of the tissue box. Though every work was hand-made, the precision was still kept. Even the unnoticeable daily products can be seen through the extra efforts and the representation of the details.

The most difficult part of making is the diagonal line on the upper part of the box. First of all, since it was a box, the four sides should be measured precisely so that putting the box together would not be mistaken or misplaced. Also, because the upper and bottom part should be matched, the size of each part needs to be even more precise. To make the upper part easier to hold, the inside of the cover was designed to be 45-degree tilted. It may be simple in terms of the shape, but the tilted angle needed a different mold.
