Our Japanese LP-inspired mural, "Courageous To Everyone!", was done in a
music studio in Laguna, south of Manila.
The collage:
Like our other recent murals, we start with a collage study appropriate to the location and to our client. Our client being a lover of Japanese culture and sweets, we incorporated Nihongo from a Japanese newspaper and the iconic packaging of the Japanese cookie Shiroi Koibito.
The process:
In order to achieve the collage-like aesthetic, we use a projector for maximum accuracy, ensuring that all elements are proportioned and in the right place. We treat the painting process like a collage as well, painting each element one after the other.
The details:
We use the actual collage as our reference, ensuring that every detail, color, and even crease of paper is evident in the mural.
