120 invites were designed and assembled by hand for this wedding invitation project. Known for their common interest in Origami, the couple decided on that as their wedding theme. The idea of supplementing the invites with origami paper was proposed and accepted. In place of the usual guest book, guests will write their blessings on the origami paper before folding it and using them to decorate the space. Two origami paper designs were produced, each a repeated pattern of origami-inspired figures engaged in a couply manner. The first is more rigid and formal, while the second is casual and light-hearted. The way of paper-folding was factored into the process of designing these origami-inspired figures. One of the origami patterns was used as the background for the invitation cards. On the front of the invite, the main event details were positioned below a portraiture illustration of the couple. Names of the guests are to be written on the back of the invite, of which also includes the instructions to the venue, as well as a simplified map composing of mainly lines. When placed into the translucent envelopes, the words on the envelope in rose-gold foil ("You are Invited") overlaps with the design of the invite, giving a generic line of invitation that reads, "Joshua and Ting to wed. You are invited."
