Typography project. Involved poster design, typography, lyric and annotation analysis.
Challenge: Design a lyrics and annotations poster for a favorite song that only incorporates the use of typography. Communicate the nature of the song through typeface choices, color palette, and poster layout.
Solution: Created a poster with colors and sans serif typefaces that are consistent with the typical designs of the musician's album art."Wait" is a song produced by the French Electronic music band, M83, and is featured on their album called Hurry Up We're Dreaming. It is a powerful song that expresses the importance of pursuing dreams and living life to the fullest, rather than wallowing in the sadness and uncertainty that life can sometimes bring about. The boldness of the song title on the poster, in comparison to the smaller, more subtle bodies of text echoes the way in which the song builds to a climax but includes many other little parts before and after.
