Prairie Hockey Academy - Inaugural Season Uniform Design
About the Project
Prairie Hockey Academy is a hockey school located in Saskatchewan, Canada. PHA is Saskatchewan's first official Hockey Canada sports school. Seeing as they were a brand new school, they were looking for a unique uniform to sport in their inaugural season. I was approached by the team President (Justin Simpkins) when I was asked to be the one to work with them in creating their inaugural season uniforms.
Logos
I was very fortunate to be provided with a fantastic set of logos to work with from Prairie Hockey Academy.
PHA had previously run a contest earlier in the year for their logo design, and I would definitely say they chose the right ones. The logos were created by the user SpoonLancer on the website 99Designs.

Uniforms
For the uniforms, my only limitations were that I was to use the PHA colours (royal blue and sport gold) and make the gloves black, due to the fact that they are stock gloves. With that, we went through several different 2D mockups that I made. Adjustments were made here and there until the final design was picked. From there, I went on to the 3D design of the jerseys.
My personal favourite piece that I added to this uniform was a subtle grain texture sublimated onto the main waist stripe on the jerseys, which pays homage not only to the logo, but to the areas in Saskatchewan.

Finished Product
Once all was said and done, the jerseys were sent off to adidas to get created in time for PHA's first ever game. I have included some pictures of them worn in real life as well as a picture of an article published in a local newspaper about my jerseys.
