Introducing the beginning of my animated logo fascination.

After drawing and then creating a logo in Illustrator, I began my search for an amazing way to animate it. The original idea was to create a logo that pushed healthier eating diets, like the Autoimmune Protocol Diet, Pescatarian diet, and so on. The drawing was more elaborate, but once in Illustrator and realizing I would need to create every layer so intricately so that it could be edited in Adobe Premier I began to take away layers. I originally intended for there to be more animation, but this was for a class project so I had to think quick. I researched Behance and YouTube for animation videos. I immediately was eager to do it all. I knew my skillset was fresh, still is, so I had to rely on something that was simple yet effective. I think of myself as an artist that is captivated by emotion more than anything so that's what I wanted to portray. I wanted to portray not only an indication that I may know what I'm doing, but something that made the viewer feel and understand the puspose of the animation. I found a YouTube video that allowed me to not only enhance my skills in After Effects, but to also add a nice effective way to portray my animation. The earthy vibes of the V was created to depict the calmness and tranquility of healthy living mentally, physically, and emotionally. I obviously have more work to, but to say the least, I'm extremely proud of my animated logo.
This animated logo was fun. I was able to dive into my love for drawing. My new found interest in Typography was also fun to explore. I was able to integrate my love for fine arts and design. I passionately believe in the interwoven relationship of fine arts and graphic design. Much like the first animated logo I had to creatively problem solve my errors concerning the layers. I eventually had to settle for an existing typeface and not my own. I'm going to continue to research and practice so these errors will become easier to solve or navigate through.
I was also told never talk about about your work in a negative way. Turn the negative into a positive. With that being said, I'm posting it. This animated logo is being posted. I wanted to dive into a different culture. I'm surrounded by individuals different from myself daily, which is beautiful. With this logo I wanted to dive into the African culture. I created a simple animated logo with type reading "Art for Art's Sake" in Xhosa or at least that's what Google and other sites translated it as. I most definitely wanted to do more and will. I feel as though some cultures are depicted negatively. That a lot of people have been conditioned to think a certain way about many people, places, cultures etc. This animated logo was to simply be fun and optimistic. It's also my reminder that everything will not be perfect in the beginning, but will effort will get better. Meaning I am redoing this one.
