In the victorian era, strychnine was used as a stimulator and performance enhancer and someone sold it as a chocolate coated tablets (because I guess everything is better with chocolate!) Strychnine is extracted from the seeds of the strychnos nux-vomica tree. Its fruits look very much like an orange.
