The Fadeless Flowers of Korea

              The Fadeless Flowers of Korea

This postcard was designed to raise public awareness of the “comfort women” in Korea who were forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese army during World War Two, and are gradually being forgotten in our history. It also aims to support the organisations that help the comfort women in Korea.

An extensive research was carried out on colours and styles used in traditional Korean folk art, costume, and flower patterns. The current concept was selected among many other hand drawn concept sketches in the ideation stage. A traditional paper texture was chosen to highlight Korean art.
