Planned & conducted the Design Sensitization Workshop - organised by National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar and IndexT-c, Government of Gujarat for the blockprinters of Kutchch and Mata ni Pachedi artisans of Ahmedabad.
The workshop was designed keeping in mind the needs and aspirations of the printers. Various sessions on skill-based needs such as sensitization of color and color interaction, motif placement and repeats, types of fabrics and alternate surfaces for block print were conducted. Because these artisans are also small entrepreneurs, sessions on product diversification and pricing, branding and selling, current market scenario and trends, E-commerce were introduced to enhance their business skills.
The objective was to make real and longterm impactful difference to their lives.
