EL MATACHIN

My father always thought me the value of legends, I think that is why I have some much love for my land and so proud to be Mexican.
The Matachines is a group of people from the north of my state that come down to my home city every lent to offer a sacrifice of silence. They dance on the streets and the y wear masks made put of cow fur so they can earn a simple coin insolence to pass those 40 days of lent. This is a tribute to them and also my dad, for teaching me the value of tradition.
