During a short freelance period of working with Prairie View A&M's student newspaper, I was tasked with putting together a redesign for their Alumni Magazine, 1876. Unfortunately the design was not chosen due to time constraints in the shipping cycle. 

The design was inspired by other current magazines that utilize minimalism and clean lines to convey professionalism and a fresh aesthetic. The goal was to utilize the school's main colors, purple and gold, as accents to a mostly white palette. The use of strong and large type was also an intentional choice made with the intention of keeping the magazine looking young yet professional.
