The Sport Show is an online show that previews the weekend of Irish sport covering all major sports including Soccer, GAA, Rugby, Boxing and major seasonal competitions like World Cup, Olympics and Cheltenham.
The show is relaxed, friendly and confident. When designing the identity, we have been asked to bring a certain aesthetic across. The Sport Show should feel fun, simple, nostalgic, retro, rough around the edges and full of personality and heart.
To achieve the aesthetic outlined above, I've looked at various print assets from previous Olympic games, specifically the 1972 Munich Olympics. The colour pallete and pattern style have been inspired by the fields, courts and linework of the various sports covered in the show. The identity and branding assets you will see below are the results of my findings and brand development.
