NIXPLAY would like to offer potential businesses to transform their current televisions into enterprise signage through NIXPLAY’s hardware and software integration. For enterprises that are just starting to get into usage of signage, and not willing to invest in out-of-the box signage solutions, NIXPLAY signage box will help business owners and corporate retail managers to convert their televisions into commercial signage via our signage box which comes with NIXPLAY subscription software. There are dozens of companies competing in this space, and most are competing among the software services that allows enterprises to transform the consumer display devices into business display solutions. The design challenge is to create a product proposition through hardware with user features and aesthetics that will stand out from the crowd and be future proof.
The design intent is to create an iconic from with a strong brand identity. The triangular icon of the Nixplay logo is applied to the center to of the signage box to maximize the brand exposure. It is created by a thin piece of stamp aluminum alloy with a light brush finishing. A soft curvature emboss is applied to the center of the metal piece to form a 3 dimensional surface, yet preserve the slimness of the overall box height. One of the use case scenario of the signage box is placement in an outdoor commercial place. To create a durable case, the main body is formed by a CNC machined aluminum block to maximize the rigidity.
The user experience of the interface design was crucial for installation and cable management. A fully considered system design is applied to each of the accessories to create a close ecosystem. The metal bracket attached to the backside of the box is designed to meet a wide range of placement scenarios. Design of simple rubber collar is used for consolidating multiple cables especially when multiple deceives are connected the same time. Both a clamp solution and sticker integrated to the camera for offering setting on table top or clamping of the TV sidewall bezel.
