For several months I have been working together with the Innovation Unit Smart Mobility of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure. This unit monitors, selects and stimulates smart mobility innovations in The Netherlands. 

When the Unit just arose, DutchDesignSketching was asked to help out visualising strategic roadmaps, common goals and operation mode of the Unit. These visuals are incorporated in presentations where the Unit presents itself. 

Another part of the commission was to visualise pilot projects. These are selected smart mobility projects which will then be piloted on a small scale to test their viability.

The visuals gradually grew in interaction with the Unit into a recognisable series of drawings. They all contain several levels of information, which is needed to be used for various groups of public.

Their content varies, but they all contain a mixture of design sketching and infographic; combining both ‘realistic’ elements with ‘abstract’ values.
