It's been a year that I been watching and being inspirationaled from Off-White. As a gratitude, I decided to draw him.
I saw a picture of him at Paris Fashion week 18' S/S and started to draw in my style based the picture. Here's my first sketch.
I also wanted to insert some point of my character for sure. So searched sample images for referring. Fortunately, background of the picture was blurred. So I could imagine more easily :)
I think I always consider about anatomy lol. I don't know why but I feel more charms under a skin more than appearance.
Here goes some processes.

Yes, at first the face was more like normal. In fact I did think so much coz his face is very fascinating enough.
And also he has some kind of.. his own mood. Well I didn't decide at all so I just pushed coz it already been delayed too much...

Considering background design, and objects to make clear purpose of drawing.
But I think Off-White is super good at simple, powerful design so there didn't need many considerations to describe. I just didn't want save their mood for sure. Coz this started from respect of him.
Going more darkly in the mood..
But finally I couldn't waste my skull.. actually the skull means so many things to me. So I put a skull on him in the end.
Yeah, now it's more like my style lol.
Almost end. The Japanese quote means like.. "wrongly placed" it's what I mostly like. And tried to put some plant coz I wanted to put some green color on this. But I think too much isn't good for this drawing. So finished!
The last version. Made by Adobe Photoshop CS3, 809 layers, 3 weeks. 26 x 33 inches. Thank you for watching!
*There was an exhibition in Japan with Murakami Takashi so I made this as a print and sent to him via my friend. I'm not sure he opened it or not lol but so hilarious experience to me.
