The identity system for Taipei Zoo is inspired by the oracle bone script, one of the features of the Chinese culture, bringing a fresh style to the Zoo. The symbol is transformed from the oracle bone script of "animal". The system is composed of different kinds of elements, such as animals, plants, and the environment, and applied to all of the guide signs."

The oracle bone script is like an image record of the old ages, which express the culture of our ancestors. Although each zoo has its style, many of them are limited in the transformation of animal appearance. This identity system is based on oracle bone script surely makes Taipei Zoo more impressive."

The use of the oracle bone script can create unlimited possible cities, for instance, the image on the staff and media ID card are Transformed from the ancient characters of "people(人)" and "big(大)", both meaning "human".

In addition, we redesigned the Zoo's guide map and created Various souvenirs, such as backpacks, badges, and stationery sets, to extend the design's scale.

The tickets are made of reusable stickers so that both adults and kids can make memorable tickets. We hope that citizens and foreign tourists will have an unforgettable experience in the zoo.

The souvenirs of the zoo are redesigned, including clothing and backpacks. The animals on the T-shirt are produced by silk-screen printing and overlaid with bright colors of red, yellow, green, and blue, revealing a cheerful atmosphere among the Zoo.

There was a large amount of animal and facility signs that needed to be redesigned. The identity system is widely applied to the Animal logos, guide signs, and the map of the Zoo.
