For a live brief as part of my studies at Nottingham College, I approached the Brasserie restaurant to produce an eye grabbing illustration displaying the college and it's history. I really enjoyed working on this project, and drawing at a larger scale bolstered my belief in drawing big and large! After scanning the final inked work I then distressed the image with subtle textures to 'bite' into the image.
Here is the black and white inked illustration of Nottingham College. Working with adequate reference material is a must when working with specific details and noticeable features of a building. It was a meditative process, and once scanned at the NTU print shop the real fun began!
