Starting from the Southwest Paleohispanic script and using two cylindrical supports, I played with some of its symbols and inserted them into a graphic pattern with the purpose of marking the sand and land, thus expressing a cycle with neither beginning nor ending.

The “Southwest Paleohispanic script” emerged as the theme for the Sculpture ceramics course directed by Professor Elsa Gonçalves. The historical heritage of Almodovar, was the source of inspiration for the artists. According to their different perspectives, they all search for an identification with these shapes and their plastic richness. This approach materialized in the pieces that make up the exhibition “da forma da escrita à escrita da forma” and remember the history of this ancient writing.
