my first conceptual architectural illustration book
    Published:
well, i had no idea just how much work went into putting a book together until i deceided to start one of my own. i must admit, that as a designer, it made things even more difficult. i started selecting content about 18 months ago, and then went about designing and creating the content for the hard copy, only to find out that there are a few more options available when it comes to printing, let alone making the end product accessable on a digital platform. i have formatted and reformated. i have searched endlessly over the internet to find information on conversion software, book distributors, marketing services as well as agents. i feel more lost than when i started. anyway...here we are, and eventually i was able to get this far on my own, a hard and digital copy available for purchase through either blurb.com or the itunes store USA
so this is what my hard copy and digital versions look like...
this image shows both ebook cover and index page. the epub version has realistic page flipping
chapters have been created to show various stages within the conceptual development of an architectural project.
inside the actual hard copy book...i love the square format! with an 18x18cm format, it has a great feel. the laminated soft cover contrasts the coarse interior. something practical to carry around and show...
...more content from the ePub version
when creating the content for the digital version, i wanted to take advantage of the books theme of "taking over the world, one line at a time" and went about digitally branding myself into iconic labels. on this page, i went back to the days when i was watching cartoons from warner bros...
ibooks author allowed me to create my own page theme...
