Project: Kampala Capital City Authority Traffic Control Center Architectural Animation

Project Timeline: 3 Weeks
With a 3-weeks timeline, the project involved pre-visualisation of the animation, lighting and texturing, rendering, compositing and post production. To manage the tight deadline, the project was rendered in the cloud using Garage Render firm.
Workflow:
The original model provided by Oubuntu Consulting was issued in Autodesk Revit format. From the revit file, an FBX was then saved and linked in 3d studio max and used to create the pre-visualisation which was presented to be approved by the architects.
Upon approval, a few changes and suggestions were made. These were minimal due to the limited timeline we had left. The lighting and texturing phase was then initiated immediately and different shots of key spaces submitted for approval before rendering the final animation.
The different sequences were then submitted to Garagefarm.net for rendering. The process was fast and often renders were downloaded in less than 20 mins upon submission of the render job.
The downloaded images were then taken to Aftereffects, and later linked to premiere pro for compositing.
