Digital collage
The idea behind this collage was to place a woman on display in a framed box and a metal bar screwed into her face to keep her mouth shut. Everyone is so sensitive these days that you can't express anything without upsetting someone deeply. It is so easy to destroy a human being through words thanks to bullying and social media. It is easy to put oneself in hot water by speaking opinions. Our beliefs and words have divided us. This collage was made to make the viewer think about what it means to them to be able to not voice their thoughts. One may identify it as stifling but another may think twice before they mutter something that could potentially harm another.
